Our aim in Computing is two-fold: to inspire students, regardless of background or ability– as pioneers of the future; and to nurture a love of this subject. As computer programs pervade every aspect of our lives, our society needs computer scientists – passionate and resilient individuals who are critical thinkers, to develop computing in every type of industry. In practice, this means that students need to see the wider picture and to relate their learning to the real world and possible career paths. They need to become digitally literate, and digitally resilient. We will achieve this by teaching them to understand and apply the fundamental principles and concepts of Computing.
Aspire
Our curriculum will inspire our boys to think analytically, logically and critically; evaluating and applying computing to become active participants in our ever-changing digital world.
Thrive
Our curriculum will enable our boys to be successful, confident and safe by analysing problems in computational terms, and through repeated practical experience of writing computer programs in order to solve problems.
Succeed
Our curriculum will empower our boys with the knowledge and confidence to become competent and creative users and innovators of computing– in both home and work contexts.
