Weekly Rewards
House Points
Class teachers award House Points for students positive contributions to the school community. These are given both inside and outside of the classroom. Some of the reasons for the allocation of House Points can be allocated for
- showing a good commitment and dedication to work
- competition of classwork to a high standard
- competition of homework to support in school learning
- demonstrating positive Routines for Learning and homework
- taking part in Period X
- charity work
- good deeds
- helpfulness
Half-term Rewards
House Points are collated at the end of each half term and rewards are given out. Certificates are given to all pupils who have gained success.
- Bronze Award – 150 House Points
- Silver Award – 250 House Points
- Gold Award – 500 House Points
- Platinum Award – 750 House Points
At the end the Autumn and Spring term pupils are rewarded for a period of time for having gained the most house points in their year group while not gained any sanctions. These periods are called the 12 days of Christmas, these rewards are reset each day over this period of time.
At the end of term pupils are rewarded for the “Best in House” for each year group. Certificates and special events are used to reward pupils including Christmas breakfast, Easter eggs, pizza treats and film events. In the spring and summer half term we reward those pupils who have made the most improvement.
