Safeguarding at Birkdale High School
At Birkdale High School, the safety and wellbeing of our students is our highest priority. We are committed to providing a caring, supportive environment where every young person feels safe, listened to, and able to achieve their best. All staff receive regular safeguarding training and are confident in recognising concerns and taking prompt, appropriate action.
We work closely with families and a wide range of local partners to ensure that any child who may need help receives timely, effective support. If you have a concern about a student, please contact a member of our safeguarding team so we can work together to keep our young people safe.
If you believe a child may be at risk of harm, you can also contact Sefton’s Children’s Help and Advice Team (CHAT) on 01519344013for advice or to make a referral. CHAT provides guidance, support, and triage for safeguarding concerns across Sefton.
If a child is in immediate danger, call 999 without delay.
